Today in clinic I worked with a one new patient and a patient I have been working with for the last couple weeks. The new patient was kind of hard because I am not the best at planning for a new patient. Also, this patient does not have a lot of goals to work on. With this patient I realized I need to work on my massage technique. I am not confident with this at all and feel that I do not do a good job at all. My second treatment went pretty well. I tried new things which I was happy with because doing the same treatment gets boring. I really want to try to make each treatment more challenging for this patient. I though I communicated well with this patient today. I was able to balance treatment and just talking to the patient. I need to work on making sure the patient is using the right muscles during the exercise. I also need to work on finding the right words to use in my documentation and improving the amount of time it takes me to write the notes. TTFN

Today I worked with two new patients. The first patient was a little frustrating because it was hard to find things the patient was willing to do. The patient does not want to stretch or do exercises, so it only really leaves massage. While I know I need the practice, I did not want to do massage for the whole hour. It feel kind of pointless to treat the patient’s symptoms when we are not treating the underlying problem. Luckily there was an SPT who needed something to do and she did an mini evaluation on the patient’s TMJ issue. If I work with the patient again I want to come up with something else for the patient to do to help treat the problem.
The treatment for my second patient went all right. I did a typical treatment that he has done all the time. My goal for next week when working with this patient to find new challenging activities to work on with this patient. I had a hard time finding the words I wanted to use in my documentation today. I want to work on improving my documentation for next week. I also need to work on improving my attitude for next week I had a touch of spring fever and did not really want to be in clinic today. A Rewarding Day!!

Today in clinic I worked with the same patient I have been working with for last several weeks. This patient is a great patient to work with because she is self motivated and willing to try everything I ask of her. It was really rewarding day because the patient made huge progress in just one week. Last week I worked on arm exercises with the patient and I had to help a lot to complete them. The patient at home started working on the exercises by herself and this week was able to do almost all the exercise on her own. It is exciting to see when a patient progresses especially how fast this patient did.
I plan to keep coming up with new ways to keep challenging this patient. I also want to try to start doing some of my documentation during the session. TTFN!
Another Day

Today I worked with the same patient I have been working with the last couple weeks. I felt the treatment went pretty well. What I want to work on is not doing the same treatment each week. I want to make new and challenging treatment each week I work with this patient. Also making sure I am not working on the same problem, but mixing it up. This way all the patient problems are being worked on.
I also want to focus more on my documentation. I need to make sure my documentation is complete and clear. I also want to improve the time it takes me to write the note and possible try to start writing some of the note during the treatment.
